CSC Softball is a competitive but friendly co-ed league. This is CSC’s largest activity with over 200 participants. Each team typically consists of 6 men and 6 women players. Some teams also have a Non-Playing Assistant (NPA) who helps keep score and organize cookouts.

2026 Regular Season: Thursdays April 30th - July 30th 6:15pm/7:15pm
*No games the week of July 4th*

End of Season Tournament: August 8th-August 9th (All Day)
*5 Game Min., 7 Game Max*

Location: Anheuser Busch Fields 4990 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43214

Ratings Clinic: March 14th or March 21st 10:30am @ Berliner Field #32 ($5 Parking Fee will be reimbursed)
*All New Players must attend 1 of the clinics*

Team Accouncements: April 10th with Coaches Meeting @ 5:45pm & all other Players @ 6:30pm

Additional Information

You must be an active CSC Member to sign up.  ALL SKILL LEVELS are invited to participate, and can be on the same team as one other participant. You can sign up to be on the same team as two other participants only if one of them is a coach or sponsor. 

If you are not a softball player but love the game, consider being a non-playing assistant (NPA). NPAs help the coach keep the scorebook, monitor the batting order, base coach, or even plan after-game cookouts!

In order to compile relatively equal teams, all players in the league are skill-rated. For those who have not played in the league the past 2 years, you will need to attend a skill ratings clinic. This is not a tryout! It is an easy, no-stress evaluation.  During registration, make sure to mark which ratings clinic you are able to attend. 

Included in Player/Coach/NPA Fee
Team Shirt, 10 Regular Season Games, End of Season 2 Day Tournament, End of Season All Star Game, Mid-Season Party, and Post-Game cookouts

The league needs 16 sponsors - one for each team. Sponsorship allows you to name your team. Additionally, each team member receives a t-shirt with your company logo on the back.

CLUB TRIP AND SPORTS/ACTIVITIES’ CANCELLATION POLICY:

SKI/NON-SKI TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY

To cancel from a club trip, the cancellation cost equals the sum of the administration fee ($50), plus the liquidation fee.
Liquidation Fees:
a. The Liquidation Fee includes nonrefundable charges incurred by the Club.
b. Nonrefundable charges include, but are not limited to, the following items: Transportation, accommodations, lift tickets, and any pre-paid activities
c. The Liquidation Fee may vary for each trip and participant.
Waiting List
a. No Waiting List signups will be taken until the trip is full.
b. Persons on the Waiting List will be called in the order they signed up. There will be no skipping of names except that two (but not more than two) persons who have signed up together can elect to be skipped over and wait for two openings to occur at the same time. If skipped over, the spot will then be offered to the next person on the Waiting List. Wait list cost is $100.
c. If a person on the Waiting List is placed on the trip, the balance of the trip cost to date must be paid within five days or before trip departure, whichever is sooner, or the person may be removed from the Waiting List.
d. If a person declines an offered position on the trip, the Administrative Fee will be assessed. That person has the option of being removed from the Waiting List or placed at the end of the Waiting List. No administrative fee is charged if they later go on the trip.

SPORTS/ACTIVITIES’ CANCELLATION POLICY

CSC Cancellation Policy (If your activity is not a sport, some items regarding games will not apply to your activity.)
1. Cancellation Fee: $10.00
2. Cancellation Schedule
a. Cancellations within 24 hours of signup receive a full refund.
b. Cancellations after 24 hours are assessed the cancellation fee plus any costs incurred by the Club.
c. Participants who do not show up for any two regular season games and have not notified their coach of a conflict will receive no refund and the coach is authorized to obtain a replacement player from the committee.
d. After a player has received a team shirt and three league games have been played, no refund will be given.
